This game is awesome. Great illustration and graphics combined with a story that makes u want to continue and puzzles that provide a challenge. Sometimes too much challenge as i used the hint quite frequently.

Good game

Wish I could give it 5 stars I'd give it 5 stars, but the interface is frustrating. Even on my 5.2 inch screen, the touch areas sometimes seemed almost too small to touch.

Graphics too small, controls and finding things too tricky and just altogether too difficult.

The art and OST are amazing!! A great time killer I just absolutely LOVE how intricate the drawings are and I thoroughly recommend head phones for amazing effect! Very challenging as well, I just can't beat that part were you have to beet the robot in the bar at his hours game.

I cant swing to the ledge in the boiling room, theres no action to get there. I played through previously with no issues but now i AM having issues Will fix back to 5 stars when issue is resolved.

Glitch Hi! I am having a problem with the gun and the dog. I can't use the shooter gun thingy on the dog. The robot just keeps on shaking its head. :'(

Great game! This is fun and challenging. If has a very gritty look that is well done and the puzzles range from easy yet involved to cryptic and a little difficult. It was a good purchase.

Update: Please make this game movable to SD card. This game takes up a lot of space. There were a few parts of this game that had me stumped. Overall great puzzles and very smooth game play.

Controls need work This game is beautiful, but the controls are less than stellar. The robot does not want to grab things out of inventory, and it's very frustrating when you KNOW that is what you have to do, but be unable to easily do it. It takes a lot of fun out of the game when you have to continually mess around trying to get the robot to do something that should be straightforward.

This game is was off those that is worth the price. I originally thought that the game was too short but after I thought about it I realized I didn't put the game down for two days and that is extremely rare for me.

Worth the 3 dollars and great time killer

Very good game, not too hard and not too easy! I found the "space Invader" game (for getting hints to the levels)very easy and without problems on my tablet. The only thing I felt they could have done better with were the graphics... But keep in mind this was a 2010 game and graphic tech wasn't as good as it is now.

My favorite game ever!

Interesting kind of game, had a lot of trouble with the controls. Most of the time I'd click somewhere wrong and the robot just wouldn't stop, so I had to watch an entire animation until I could keep playing. The second arcade was hell. If I misclicked the arrows one little bit, the robot would leave the machine and this happened a dozen times. The controls can be rather frustrating but the game is nice. The storyline is poor and could be way better.

The game is pretty good, yet there are minigames that I think are neither necessary nor plain nor puzzle. The first arcade machine is just space invaders, that's it, and you need to score 1000 points which is too much, I want to play a quest, not arcade. The other one is at the end where you need to defeat 40 enemies inside a maze, it isn't even hard, just boring. I don't understand why you would need to press the elevator button, it's small and hard to tap, instead the whole door area.

Possibly the worst controlled game I have ever played.

Great Game Worth Downloading Great game, was well designed. The creators of this game put a lot of work into it and it shows. The artwork is detailed while game play makes you think with many puzzles. It was enjoyable to play and I recommend downloading this one. Great job guys will be looking for more games by this company.

Needs improvement The mini game of the space invaders. I want to move left or right, suddenly I hop off accidentally!! There should be an exit X to leave the game.

The game was cute. Not mawkish cute but more like what an adult would say after seeing two children share a parasol on a rainy day. That's what Machinarium is for me. I'm going to start off with the bitter part. Fortunately, there's nothing I can actually complain about. My game was freezing for short periods of time after I would block the device. If this happens to you, try using the recent apps switcher to unfreeze it. Worked for me. Also, after using the split screen the game was restarting itself but I don't remember losing any progress because of that. *** There was one type of puzzle where you would have to get an item after performing a specific task (no details because I detest spoilers myself) and the task didn't block itself from you undertaking it for the second time. It made me confused about how I should proceed because my intuition was to get more of such items and use them differently. This happened to me twice and I was slightly miffed about having to spend additional time on solving something that didn't need to be solved. Instead, the devs could have just put a restriction on the said puzzles or just inform the player about the unnecessity of your time investment prior to completing the puzzle again. *** Now that I can't recall anything else which could make me unhappy let me speak my words of appreciation. *** The story. What a delightful piece of good ol' fantastical lore it was. From the storytelling artwork of the backgrounds to the fanciful tidbits hidden around every location. These curios which differentiated our human world from the mechanical one are what mostly made this story compelling for me. Another solid factor was the presentation of the past. It introduces you progressively to what's happened to the main protagonist in moderate amounts but serves as a great distraction when you may be getting bored. Speaking simple, the game looked interesting and it got all of my attention from the very first scene. *** The characters were also given a lot of love. Their personalities is a hotchpotch of emotions and relationships. As you explore new sceneries you uncover more and more of it. Interaction can be made with virtually any of the characters met in the game, no one is left without a purpose. When it comes to music, this soundtrack fits my simple tastes. *** The music and the SFX were crucial factors in tuning the game's atmosphere. I liked the idea of changing it based on what's happening in the game's world. I won't give you an example though because, again, I don't want to spoil anything to You. *** Graphics and animations were my cup of tea too. They both reflected the essence of the presented reality really well. It all looked a little like an old cartoon to me. *** Now about the central aspect of the game, the puzzles. I did have a few times when i got stuck. However, they're not beyond a casual player's comprehension, neither are they easy. I felt like the game wanted me to think and told me to find another way when I was trying to make shortcuts. All the puzzles were refined, each had its own individuality and there were a lot of them in this game. I'm not a big fan of puzzle games but I did enjoy this one. Also, there is a well implemented tips system if you get completely lost. It still gets you to think on your own but generally it's a huge help when needed. I will also point out that it is advised to use sound while playing this game because there can be puzzles where you might need it. *** To conclude I want to simply give a thanks to the dear creators for making such an awesome game. It's an epitome of games being another medium for telling stories next to (and as importantly, in my opinion) movies and books. And to all of the fellow players, thank you for supporting developers who create such things.

The story is beautiful, the art is breathtaking, the music is soothing and fits perfectly, and the puzzles are challenging. Really a well-polished game that is worth the five bucks.
