    Okay so I've been having this issue with this app for awhile now . I don't get phone calls my Google voice number won't or don't ring it goes to Google voice mail and I miss all calls and I end up having to call people back . It's very inconvenient and it's causing me to miss very important calls and it's very unprofessional when you have phone interview with someone and you have to end up calling them back because my number doesn't ring

    I use a separate Google Voice number for my business and it works fantastic it can transcribe my voicemails and send them to me as text messages.

    The only thing its missing is the ability to discern whether the incoming call is from voice app or phone before you answer. Other than that its a great app

    Pretty good but sometimes texts take a few minutes to be received by the receiver. That could just be the carrier's network on both sides.

    I absolutely love Google voice for my business! It took some effort to figure out how to configure the app to do everything properly but it's perfect!

    I only used this app because there is no other way to receive my Google voice mail number voicemail. To further its annoyance I cannot get the app to display a new voicemail notification. I have to open the app periodically to check for messages. I have missed several important messages because of this.

    Add features, integrated hangouts, separated, features gone, new look still need legacy look to access most settings, waited years to get mms work, now all file types are unsupported, ect. You make it really hard to love.

    Not sure why you don't allow for pictures to be shared from other locations besides are local phone gallery. You would think you would be able to share from places like one drive and other cloud storage. There have definitely been some improvements recently that was long overdue so thank you for that

    Overall a good app though it has its limitations. The new UI does work but it organizes messages in a way that limits the user. Still, I recommend this to anyone wanting to inlock themselves from using their cell phone's number.

    A few bugs with voicemail going to the cell provider and all calls not going out through Google voice, but otherwise, this service has been amazing for years.

    The price - free - goes a long way. Sure, I'd like more bells and whistles, but the fact that I can communicate from so many devices is the reason it's been my main carrier for years.

    I use it to provide a texting channel for my small business. Works fantastic as my staff can all receive customer texts and whoever is available can take action without exposing employee cell phone numbers.

    Been using Google Voice since the beginning. Nice to see that Google hasn't forgot about this service. Works as you would expect. However for some reason you don't have control over Voicemail on the new Google Voice controls web app.

    This is the perfect app to use as an extra number for texting and calling and has great call screening. It's super reliable and it's better than paying for a number and I can't believe that they offer it for free! You can have this voicemail and your native numbers voicemail at the same time or forward them all to one voicemail. You can also choose to make this your new number for everything or have it designate who you want to receive calls from this number and who you want to receive calls from your native number. Awesome app! Way to go Google! My favorite feature is now they've separated the text app so that it doesn't come through on your regular text screen anymore and is kept totally autonomous so you have your regular texts and your Google texts.

    Very nice and easy to use app and service. I recommend adding an easy way to make a call within the app... currently one has to add a number to the messaging line, then the phone icon shows up... why not just always show the phone icon? I recommend adding an easy method of deleting old calls, old texts, and spam. Thanks

    Very reliable for texting, and supports most mms which is nice. Kind of a bummer it doesn't support audio or video attachments of any kind, but I can live with that. Sadly Google voice is not very reliable for calls though, with calls often going to voicemail without ringing and terrible call quality. It's a free service though so I can't complain

    I was excited to learn of an app I could still call and text from without having active cell service since losing my job. But while the texting works so long as I'm connected to wifi, the call function still gors thru the cell carrier and doesn't work the way it was advertised. I still use it to text other Androids, but the calling feature would have been great for callbacks while I job hunt.

The fact that their choose-your-device 'help' page does not list the Nexus 6p is only the beginning. This looked like a lifesaver. Unfortunately, no matter how many times I recorded the greeting the audio would fail and only half of my words would ever manage to make it through. A seemingly valid alternative has sadly failed. The fact that that it is does not have a version for Android 6 speaks much in itself.

    A must get app! Awesome app, has served for years, I get to use that number to text for free to clients without giving my personal number. Also very cheap for international calls so I never have to worry about paying ridiculous amounts to my cell provider and it does it automatically so no need to dial special codes or anything.

    Haven't used it much but it seems to work. Notifications could be a little better though. Text forwarding doesn't work with my cell service.

    This app is amazing! To get a free number to call and text is just remarkable. I broke my sim card reader on my phone and I don't know what I would have done for the two weeks that I've waited to get a phone replacement. This is also very useful when traveling internationally as calling and texting US numbers is free. On top of all of that they have extremely cheap international calling rates for when you call places other than the US. Though, the texting messenger could use some work, it's nice and working but definetly not polished to be a replacement for a regular phone number with a proper texting messenger like iMessage or Textra. I would very much and actually do recommend this to my friends.

    The App does phone calls pretty well. The messaging can be improved though. The delays in receiving messages are quite annoying as the order of the messages are different from what the sender would send. That is a message sent subsequently from another would appear first.
