    The only music app I know you have pay to be able to play it in the background/when your screen is off. Fails to play all the time and shuts off unless I pay.

    Welp, I'm very disappointed Google Play Music is going to be replaced by this app. 1) no podcasts 2) not as intuitive as play music 3) I dislike that when I 'subscribe' to an artist it modifies my YouTube settings 4) I wish I could import my Play Music so I won't have 5+ years of ratings, albums, songs, downloads, etc. that have gone to waste.

    Buggy and impossible. But it's the ONLY APP that will cast music to my LG TV uninterrupted by buffering problems. Either this is Google getting its anti-neutrality rocks off, or now they have TWO poorly-coded music streaming apps.

    The latest update killed off my favorite feature - endless personalized music *videos*. Now the "personalized" feature streams music, without the videos. Thanks, Google. Now you have two apps that do that, and I don't need YouTube Music any more.

    The app constantly crashes when phone is locked while casting a playlist to Chromecast. Can't seem to add songs to queue. Multiple people cannot connect to Chromecast with app on multiple devices to add songs to queue even though the YouTube app has this feature.

    This app stops playing music as soon as I switch to another app or turn my screen off, literally the opposite of what it claims to do. This app is a stupid waste of time.

    Has songs that is says aren't censored but are, in the same album with uncensored songs. Could use organizing, also if you want to replace google play with this get a feature to make easier to move playlist over.

    I'd definitely use this app more if it allowed background listening for free like Spotify. Heck, I wouldn't mind if you played an ad after every song or two.

    Needs considerable update to even be similar to its predecessor, play music. For example, needs equilizer for equipped phones, better sound quality, better song transitions, more intuitive UI navigation, android auto support.

    Upgrade = Downgrade. How can upgrading an app mean deleting that app and replacing it with a different worse app that is more expensive? My YouTube red subscription gone, have to pay again for this new app. Your acting like crApple!

    It has good bones but needs allot of work to get to GPM standards, I was surprised it don't automatically import my playlists, etc from GPM (as a subscriber) the library is not as extensive as GPM either, a lot of albums I listen to are not available in YTM, yet are in GPM NEEDS: *Access to Equalizer *Ability to swipe right to next song *Better sorting options for albums, songs Etc (they are not even in alphabetical order and no ability to change them at the moment) *Podcasts I'm sure I'll find more as I use the app more and I hope these basic and necessary functions are coming.... and don't make it look too much like Spotify I don't really like their interface have a look at Deezer, clean and simple

    Useless app. Why bother using this when some videos are straight up unavailable and on YouTube it's not? Just use your default YouTube app if you want to listen to music.

    Very fast app. Works good. Doesn't remember which labels I subscribed on YouTube to listen songs to, which is odd. Playlists and albums harder to find than on Spotify.

    It's okay, the only issue I'm having is that my playlists and albums aren't downloading. It says they're available to listen to offline but when I'm without a connection I can't listen to it, really hope this is fixed soon.

    I have a questions so if you download the YouTube music app and you choose premium or basic package can you still keep your playlist and account from YouTube or do you have to actually make your own and recreate your own playlist? Does it transfer over is what I'm asking.

    I think it could have some improvement definitely needs to be able to play while my phone is turned off or the app is closed, but overall pretty versatile.
