    My Phillips TV won't even load the Netflix anymore. This is being a constant problem and I want it fixed before I cancel my subscription from Netflix for good. I've run all the diagnostics already, my internet has no issues connecting to any other device, every other device I run Netflix on runs perfectly. My tv is connected to the internet and is working good, it's a brand new tv so it shouldn't be the issue.

    Interestingly My Netflix app for Android tv, (Mi BOX) Does not list hdr, nor UHD programming. And my mi box android tv is official, with android tv official from google.

    My Android Box (YokaTV KB2 Pro) is now not able to start the Netflix app. Just for your information, you lose one more customer. I will cancel my subscription. I give you 2 stars since I was able to use the app and watch for around 8 months I have this box.

    It is generally a nice application. But latest update on android TV (nvidia shield TV) is buggy. After one or 2 video sessions it suddenly shows red X saying they cannot playback the video, You have to put nvidia shield on stand by or restart it to solve this issue. This is really annoying. I never had such problems on any platform before than this with netflix.

    I use this on Android TV (nVidia Shield), and it's pretty bad. First, only 5.1 support is for Dolby Digital Plus, which my receiver doesn't support. Why is traditional DD not an option? Second, and even more annoyingly, Netflix doesn't participate in cross-app search the way Hulu, Play Movies, YouTube and other apps do. And even within Netflix, voice search isn't an option. Netflix's app looks like a dinosaur on Android TV. What makes this harder to stomach is that Roku and Apple TV both have Netflix support for cross-app search. Does Netflix just not WANT my business? This is discouraging and I'll unsubscribe if they don't update their apps to fully support the features of the system they are on.

    Netflix, this app is completely unusable on the Shield right now. See the Nvidia forums for many many complaints over the last few weeks. Like others, I am experiencing intermittent periods of buffering that last for 10 minutes or more. I have had to switch to other devices for Netflix. YouTube, Playstation Vue, and Amazon Video all work great on the Shield, it's just Netflix that is broken.

    Unreliable and frustrating to use. The app ALWAYS closes upon starting it for the first time and it won't function unless you trawl through the myriad settings and force close it, then try again. And then, just for fun, it will often stop streaming content for no apparent reason, but it won't sync where you got to before it does. So you have to try and re-start the app and then FAST FORWARD to where you roughly left off. Why must this be so painful to use?

    I had an Apple TV and was happy with my Netflix experience. Now I have an Nvidia Shield (2017) and the Netflix app for Android TV is absolute trash. It buffers inexplicably during playback and for a long time before playback. When it's playing the video quality is terrible. I pay for 4K and HDR content but I get compressed garbage. Chromecasting from my iPhone directly to the TV works fantastic, the buffering is quick and the video quality is on par with what I expect from streamed 4K HDR content but the Android TV app is BROKEN. I don't want to switch input sources just for Netflix. My network is a Cat6 wired 1000 Mbit beast with no problems in any other streaming service and I use a plethora of them. Again, my TV (LG B6) handles Netflix better than a premium set-top box running Android TV. Fix this abomination.

    If you're having issues on Shield TV just uninstall Netflix from the play store. Netflix is built into the Shield OS and messes up if you update it in the store.

    Thanks to have Netflix native application compatible with Xiomi Mi Laser Projector 150"! My plan support 4K streaming and i have it on myTV. Unfortunately it is not yet supported by this application. Any plans to be able stream 4K video quality within this app in future?

    I am rating the app, not the service. I quite like the Netflix service, but the app for the Shield TV is missing a feature which really annoys me. It will not automatically adjust the Shields Refresh Rate to match the content being played. In addition, if the Shield is in a refresh rate that doesn't currently support HDR I have to manually change refresh rate settings and relaunch Netflix before it will show HDR content. I'm currently permanently running my shield at a lower refresh rate just for the convenience, but even that's not perfect inside Netflix and it certainly makes the whole device interface less snappy.

    Nice app but as with prime video neither plays sound from launch, have to reboot TV every time to get audio to work. Other than that app performs well but the issue needs fixing as it is very annoying.

    It loads and gets stuck at 99% and then freezes. Does not work. This is on a brand new nexus player freshly installed. Tried uninstall and reinstall but does not work.

    Broken Bluetooth support as others have said. What Brady said in a nutshell: "Still no Bluetooth audio support on Nexus Player running Android 6.0." Other apps work fine, and using the same Bluetooth headset on my phone's Netflix app works fine. You can trick it to work like Greg said by turning your bluetooth device and then back on, but you have to do this everytime you pause, or start another show/movie too otherwise you get the audio, but video just shows 99%. So it's a pain, to put it nicely.

    A week ago stopped working on my nexus player. The app start but before start the movie the screen goes black and TV say "lost HDMI signal"

    Bad app design. You can't use the back button to exit the app, unlike like every other Android TV app. Have to go into the app, navigate down to the bottom and across to select exit. I get you want your users to stay in the Netflix app, but Netflix isn't the only streaming app and I sometimes want to use a different app depending on what I want to watch. I use my TV remote through CEC so I don't have a home button. It makes me want to unsubscribe from Netflix altogether.

    Hate autoplay feature. Please, at least, make it optional. Also, that bug where sometimes image stops but audio continues is really annoying.

    Good app, but I wish the recommendations were better. Sometimes I don't find out about content until a friend or the internet tells me.

    **Update** STILL crashes since Oct 3rd 'bug fix'. Very Frustrating!! The app is very buggy since the latest update to my Nexus Player. I uninstalled and reinstalled Netflix and it worked for 10 minutes then crashed. Please fix!! I pay for this service!! Thanks

    With the release of this October 13th update and the 2.1 firmware update on the Nvidia Shield Android TV, the Netflix application has returned to its outstanding self.
