Description

Simple a DLNA compatible media server. It allows stream multimedia files (photo / music / video) from Android devices to any UPnP / DLNA client, for example, Smart TV, Play Station or Xbox 360, etc.
There is support playlists (m3u, m3u8, pls) just specify the playlist file.
Now server supports getting data from SMB and FTP. Just add Network share like: smb://user:[email protected]/share or ftp://user:[email protected]:port/ftpdir

If you get errors, feel free to send me a log from the app settings.

    Only DLNA app that actually got the job done casting to my PS4. Clean design, easy enough to figure out how it works (compare to the alternatives I tried), and most importantly it worked! I appreciate that it prompted me to whitelist it in the battery saver options - something I wouldn't have thought to do but could have gotten in the way.

    No ads, easy to setup, and does what it's supposed to. The downside is it isn't pretty, and no in-app handholding through setup (which is selecting where to look for your pro... Media files). I wish more apps were as good at what they do as DLNAServer is. Some examples of DLNA clients: PlayStation 4, most smart TVs, any PC or phone with a DLNA aware media player like VLC. DLNAServer serves audio, video, and image files. Not all files are supported by all clients.

    Great free dlna server, best part is how easy it's to use and allows you to select specific folders very easily. It's very plain.

    Simple and sweet. It can be turned on and off from control center directly, feels like built-in system feature. Awesome experience. I enjoy watching movies on my TV downloaded in my phone, no need to cast screen.

    just works keep it simple. tried other more famous apps but for some odd reason they don't deliver it to my other devices. i use 1 pc monitor and watch (mostly listen to actually) on another ios device. so nice to have a library to chose from if you have insomnia or wake up all the time.

    Was working great till I upgraded to Android 9, now I can see Mp4 video files but not MKV video files, fingers crossed for an update. But I do love how simple the app is. Update... After doing a power off on the phone the app now shows all the movies. All is wonderful again.

    Sometimes watching videos over wifi videos are skipped randomly in a middle of watching. Any suggestions for a quick fix? Overal 5 stars!

    Doesnt work on Android 9. While i can connect to this using a dlna client, this dlnaserver doesnt provide any of the media files to the client. This app is completely useless.

    Simple and effective. It works flawlessly streaming videos on the Oculus GO via Pigasus VR player or Oculus Gallery, but it doesn't work well with the Skybox VR player, it has an incompatibility issue with it. Overall great app, gets the job done.

    Perfect for wirelessly viewing local media on the Oculus Quest w/VR media player (recommend Pigasus) without having to transfer media to headset compromising Quest available memory.

    Only thing that works honestly, all the other apps are full of ads or just don't work, so I'd say this is the best to use for setting a background on your xbox one or whatever device you have.

    It stops working on my tv when the cellphone screen goes off even though battery optimization is off. But sometimes it works. I don't know why.

    The app is genuinly good. It's minimalistic interface suits it well. I fact, it's one of a kind for someone who needs dlna streaming from their phone. However, there are minor issues. In particular, there seem to be no way to list all albums irrespective of artists (one can enable Artists folder). Also folder names are unusual, i.e. "Audios"

    It is the simplest way to setup a DLNA server. It just works. UI is simple, except I don't understand what exactly I need to type for SMB or FTP. There is no FAQ or HELP section for this. My HDD has a few thousand files. Without " * " in front of the link. It shows Zero objects. Once I put " * " in the prefix, boom! Everything is there. Big thank you to the developer.
