  • Why does the email app require the ability to make and control phone calls? Why does it require my location? Too many unecessary permissions required.
  • Update: Issue fixed. All subfolders are accessible again. Thx. Before: Was goos until now - no longer respects all folders in Exchange (only general default folders such us inbox or sent) = no longer supports subfolders you create.
  • This the latest update, the app f**ks up all the time and judging by the comments on here everyone is experiencing the same thing! Why do people feel the need to change something when its not broken. Fix up Samsung!!
  • Sorry Samsung but you Mail App is a big fail. Activesync implementation is horrible. Interface and UI are not fully functional. I don't understand why you can't create a mail app to respond to all actual requirements of standard and corporate users. With High End - Expensive smartphones, is really too hard to create a complete full functional apps ecosystem? Take a look to Nine and Outlook apps and learn from them.

  • Just upgraded to s8 active and this is the native email client so I can get my Gmail, Yahoo and work email all in one place. Works pretty good most of the time, but too frequently it locks up and doesn't let me access certain messages. Considering switching to different email client if this issue isn't resolved soon.

  • Why does the update need to sync to my phone? Without giving the permission, it doesn't push emails through and then constantly notifies you to give the permission. Update notes say phone permission is not required, but your version of optional sure isn't optional. Deleting!

  • It was excellent until the latest update, now it yaps semi-daily for permissions to the phone or Exchange Activesync. I don't need this app to either control the phone or be connected to office email but there's no way to stop this new nagging...why don't they just leave a good product good...

  • This app sucks! It wouldn't work right unless you give it permissions that it has no business having! There is no reason whatsoever for an email app to need to be able to make and manage phone calls. I hate it for that reason. As long as I don't tell it to not ask me again, I can make it work. I have to constantly deny it permission otherwise it won't work correctly and I refuse to give it permission. Total pain in the butt!

  • This was a decent app until previous update. It states it doesn't need permissions but everytime you open the app it requests permission to make phone calls. Email still works but very annoying. I sent email asking about it over a week ago with no response, worst thing about it is because it came with the phone you can't delete it.

  • I CREATED FOLDERS FOR IMPORTANT EMAILS 2 MONTHS AGO AND TODAY THEY WERE ALL MISSING. I HAD VERY IMPORTANT EMAILS INCLUDING FROM MY ATTORNEY. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE BY ANY STANDARDS.

  • This app works well, and has the VIP view and notifications which are great. Problem is contrast. All the text is the same color/boldness and hard to differentiate. And it would be great to somehow edit the theme to have color. Black and white only is a bad theme.

  • Recently the option to delete emails from the notification shade has mysteriously vanished. Please bring it back, this was my favorite email app and I do not want to have to use another.

  • Please incorporate a way to delete the emails from the notification drop down. Blue mail has it, so there is no reason you can't make this happen. The only reason I'm using this email is because it support the themes and icons I use on my phone from Samsung Themes. Please add more updates to this app. Do some research on some of the other top rated email apps and that should solve a lot of other customer issues as well.
  • Samsung may want to check their read more section. It says that there are no "required permissions." Not true with this update. You have to give it phone permission. I've uninstalled the update twice, but I'm guessing it will continue until you all read the more recent reviews.

  • The recent update killed this app. It will no longer sync with any of my email accounts and get new mail. The CORE function of the app is gone.
  • Since the latest update I have been getting notifications for messages that I move and mark as read. The notifications are persistent and will reappear every few minutes after swiping them away, which makes the notifications for this app basically useless. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the updates, as well as removing and re-adding my exchange account. Besides the bugs from the latest update, this email app is bar none the most bare-bones email app I have used, and doesn't even support archiving (only deleting.) It's alright for personal email, but too minimal for business.

  • I loved the convenience of this app until today when I went to check an old email that I saved in a created folder, I noticed my folders are no longer showing up. None. Whatsoever.   • This email app was terrible to begin with, (0 access to emails in my folders, no ability to flag important emails so they wouldn't disapear in 24 hours, etc.) but the latest update is total GARBAGE. Access to my phone calls and camera etc. or it will just spam you until you relent? Are you kidding me?? Utterly intrusive and horrible of Samsung and whoever programmed this update. In the meantime I am deleting the app. Oh wait.. You can't delete it! But I can disable it. Done. Update: I found Outlook and I will never return to the Samsung default email app. I feel I was severely cheated for years by Samsung after they thankfully forced me to go find Outlook. The difference is AMAZING! Bye!
